This is definitely not my normal home decor related post but since I was a kinder teacher for 12 years, I just had to share this amazing company I came across!! This would be perfect for all my teacher friends out there, home school moms, or anyone at home all day with a toddler!!!!
GoNoodle makes it easy to be active, the kid way – silly, energetic, playful, and fun! Movement videos and games get kids up and moving so they can be their healthiest, smartest, bravest, best selves at home and at school.
The problem:
-
2 out of 3 kids are inactive
-
CDC recommends 60 minutes of physical activity each day – the average kid only gets 20
-
Only 6 states require PE in every grade
-
Only 20% of districts require daily recess
How it works:
When a kid plays GoNoodle, he or she follows along with one of GoNoodle’s 150+ movement videos. They might begin the school day with a yoga routine, have a family dance party in the living, or sing and move along to popular songs. However kids play, they’re being active, having fun, and fueling their brains!
“Research shows even short bursts of movement, like 10 minutes of aerobic walking, deliver big benefits for brain health and academic performance, relative to sitting quietly. Fit and active kids outform less fit kids on tests of math and reading, as well as tasks of memory, attention and learning.” -Dr. Laura Chaddock-Heyman, research scientist specializing in movement and the adolescent brain.

Next up was the
Since I have only had this sugar mold for the summer months, I have not played around with it much after getting it decorated, but I am looking forward to styling it for fall and Christmas! I was thinking mini white pumpkins in place of the succulent picks!

When we moved into our home 12 years ago, we had a brass chandelier which we quickly spray painted black (I so wish I had before and after pics of that!) and it worked just perfect for the next 10 years! Then a few years ago, I finally updated with an antique bronze lantern off of Amazon that was a Pottery Barn look-alike and it worked great over our round glass table, but with a growing family and a baby on the way, we needed a larger table which eventually led to a bigger light fixture!
I just absolutely love how a simple update like a light fixture can really just brighten up a room! I kept this bronze lantern, and I am just waiting to find the perfect spot for it! I might even move it to my laundry room or my daughter’s room we are about to makeover…..haven’t told my husband that idea just yet:) The one thing I love about both of these light fixtures is that they do not have glass components which in my opinion just constantly looks dusty in my house!! Well that’s it for today, and as I was typing this post up, my chandelier was back up for grabs
