Travel Must-Haves for Toddlers

Starting to pack for our journey back to the United States for the summer and wanted to share a few of my travel must-haves for toddlers! I have been traveling with my girls ever since they were babies so I know how important it is to be prepared on flights! This past year has been a new experience of overnight trips and long flights and I knew I needed to find something for my toddler after she tried sleeping on my lap, tossing and turning for hours, making it incredibly uncomfortable for both of us to get any sleep at all! This is where the amazing BedBox by JetKids came to the rescue! This carry-on sized ride on suitcase that turns into a bed has seriously changed the entire traveling experience for my 4 year old!

She has always traveled with a backpack like her big sisters, but let’s be honest, my husband or I always end up carrying it after about 5 minutes!!! I honestly was not sure about the pulling/ride-on feature of the BedBox but it has been AMAZING!!! My daughter loves to pull it all by herself and it also features 360 degrees swivel wheels in the front, for smooth maneuvering which is huge!

Everyone knows that traveling can involve long lines and lots of waiting patiently! The ride-on feature of the BedBox was one that I had not even realized would come in handy and make it a much more positive experience for my little one!

Waiting in line was not nearly as miserable when you have a fun little ride-on to sit on or a big sister to pull you on it!

Here we are waiting to take off!! Makes the perfect footrest and fits perfectly!

And as soon as we were up in the air, we quickly and very easily converted our BedBox into a comfortable bed/leg-rest!

This particular flight was a quick 2 hour trip to Astana, Kazakhstan but it still was perfect to get comfy and relax a bit!

And even a quick little nap!

This has been such a great first experience with our BedBox by Jetkids and I am looking forward to our adventure back home to Houston in just 2 weeks! This will be my first time traveling overseas with my girls’ all by myself so I am very thankful I have the BedBox to help make this trip a little easier on my little on!! It’s the perfect size to hold a few favorite travel items such as the Water Wow Books, water bottle, blanket, Ipad, and headphonest!!

What’s In My Carry-On Tote

I have been so blessed to have grown up in a family that truly enjoys traveling and going on adventures around the world! When deciding to move our family from Texas to Europe last year, this opportunity of being able to travel to destinations that we most likely would not be able to afford or have the time to visit definitely played a huge role in our decision and I hope my girls look back on this one day and realize what a once in a lifetime experience this really is! I always get asked where exactly we are living and that is the city of Atyrau, Kazakhstan. Fun fact……Atyrau is one of two cities in the entire world to be located on two different continents of Europe and Asia! We are here for a few years because my husband works in the oil & gas business!

Anyways, back to my favorite carry-on tote! Anyone else get super excited to go on a little weekend trip somewhere new?!?! I am packing and blogging and having a glass of wine as we speak! The perks of working from home!! LOL! We are heading to Astana, Kazakahstan tomorrow which is the capital and I believe there is a Starbucks and H&M there!!!!! Yippee!!!!! You can not find any of those in Atyrau, so a little excited about that and looking forward to watching my oldest play a little volleyball! Pretty sure it will not compare to her club days back in Houston but still an opportunity of a lifetime and a fun weekend getaway with the family!

I am rounding up below what you would find in my carry-on tote!

My MacBook Pro and carry case from Apple. I purchased this laptop right before moving overseas and definitely recommend! Perfect size for traveling!
Leather Family Passport Cover from PortLand Leather – love that I can carry my passport and my girls’ passports all in one place.
Kate Spade large 17 month agenda – this goes with my everywhere! I have tried to use the calendar on my phone but just does not work for me! This goes back to my teacher days!! I must write everything down and see the entire month at a glance!
Leather Wallet by Hobo – great wallet for everyday use with several pockets and zippers .
“Hello Beautiful” makeup bag – this was a gift from my sweet momma and the perfect size to keep my tote organized with a few travel neceseties. I have seasonal allergies so I must travel with Zyrtec and peppermint oil. I have the roll on version of this in my cart as we speak! This is amazing to dab on your face for instant relief if you start to get a sinus infection. I also always travel with a few travel sizes of my favorite perfume, moisturizer, mascara, lip treatment, eye mask, lip gloss . Click here to see more of my favorite makeup essentials!
Snacks – always throw a few snacks in my bag just in case the airplane food is horrible and I have a starving kiddo! Love this heart healthy mix and fruit leathers!
S’well Water Bottle – I don’t leave home without this water bottle! Keeps water cold and even might hold an entire bottle of wine if needed!!!!!!! This is the 25 oz sparking champagne color!
Sleep Mask – I keep this is my bag just in case I need it! You never know when someone near you wants to keep the window up when you are trying to nap!
Iphone with Popsocket
Rayban sunglasses – love these aviators! Also linked some inexpensive dupes below!
Favorite denim jacket – always travel with a cardigan or light jacket! Layers are a must!!
Bose Headphones – these are really more for longer overnight trips but nice to have!
Altoids – always have gum or mints in my bag!
